
![]() F.E.A.R = False Evidence Appearing Real This is one of my favorite anacronyms, and it is a reminder that we can choose how we perceive our world. Fear is virtually unnecessary in most situations. We each have the power within us to transform fear into excitement and motivation. Here are 10 steps that you can take to turn your fear into fuel: 1) Connect your body and mind - Any time doubt arises, tune in to where in your body you feel it. What story are you telling yourself about your fear? Is your story coming from a past experience, a "what if"? Breath slowly and deeply into the tension and allow it to release. You will be amazed at the power of your breath! 2) Change your story - Once you figure out what is driving your story, visualize the outcome to be your desired result instead of the story that is feeding the fear. In this way you can change fear into excitement. Get excited about what is to come!
4) Show Gratitude - Practice this especially at the beginning of your day, and as you are going to sleep at night. While you sleep, you hold the last thoughts or feelings you had before you fell asleep. Remember each thing, person, or situation, in your life that you are grateful for. The more you practice gratitude, the less you will remember to worry. As you get good at this, you will learn to be grateful even for the things that seem negative. Your mind will reprogram itself to expect and accept the good things in life. You deserve it! 5) Expect Miracles! - The "Miracle Money Technique"* was recently shared with me. The technique uses a simple statement "This week I will experience a Miracle having to do with money". You must say it exactly that way. Once you experience a miracle, be it finding a penny on the ground, or someone offering to buy you lunch, recognize it, and say "Aha, here is a miracle having to do with money", then "This week I will experience ANOTHER Miracle having to do with money". I don't know yet if it brings riches beyond belief, but what I DO know is that it trains your mind to expect miracles instead of tragedies. 6) You are Fully Supported and Protected - Regardless
7) Create your own Affirmations - This is the most powerful way to manifest good in your life. Using affirmations others have created is wonderful, and I fully encourage this. However if you can create your own affirmations, they will have even more power and meaning to you. 8) Check Astrology Often - Planetary alignments have an energetic power. If you can tap in to this power, it will help you to focus and manifest more quickly. As an example, this week we have an Aries New Moon. This is the perfect time for fresh starts, renewing perspective, reconnecting with your childlike innocence and sense of adventure. If you can connect with this energy, you will remember that life is just a big adventure, so go for it without fear! 9) Clear the Clutter - Spring Cleaning is a great way to renew your spirit. Rid yourself of anything in your home that you do not have a use for, and at the same time focus on anything you might be holding in your mind. Is worrying about money useful to you? If not, get rid of it. Is holding a grudge useful? No? Offer forgiveness and let it go! It seems difficult to change old mental patterns at times, but if you take some of the tips in this article, and utilize these tools daily, you will find it much easier to re-pattern your thoughts and accept your good.
10) Claim your Power - You are in control at all times of your thoughts and emotions. Remember that you are not ever given an opportunity that you cannot handle, and all challenges happen for a good reason. Whatever comes up, face it with a fun attitude knowing it as an opportunity and not a punishment. You have the tools and resources at your fingertips to win every challenge. If you face life with this perspective, you will not only survive and thrive, but will actually have even more energy to work with! One final tip, and possibly the most important is remember to take care of your mind and body. Treat yourself to a fancy meal now and then, practice daily yoga and meditation, receive regular body treatments such as massage and acupuncture, take a bath with your favorite essential oil, or go for short walks in the sun. Whatever your beliefs, these techniques can really help you to overcome your fears, and turn them into fuel to succeed in what may seem like survival times. It takes practice, but each day you will find it easier to fall into positive thinking rather than damaging negative thought patterns and fears.
