August Astrology with Sylvia L. Wyant

Hi All,

I am choosing to change the format of my astrology column for the Sensorielle Newsletter a bit. Since I now have weekly astrological updates on my websites (see below) - I will be focusing here on how astrology affects our body. The astrological energies affect our physical body because we are literally made of stardust - ancient as it may be.

We begin August with Juno's entrance into the sign of Leo.

We can expect a lot of drama around our romantic choices, our self-expression and our relationships to our creative offspring, artistic and the child-kind. The beginning of the month is a time of potent baby-making energy - so if you are so inclined, get after it!

We have a lot of push/pull energy this month, coupled with strong Mar and Venus vibes, trying to work it all out. As Saturn has just re-entered Libra take time to find balance in your physical structure. Support your body with refreshing water and electrolytes, a cool swim, and a hike in the shade. Ceres, the Goddess of Grain moves direct in Sagittarius on the 8th. Take this time to travel and consider how you would like to nourish yourself, even if it means a trip to the day spa - take a mini vacation this month. You have earned it. Mercury moves retrograde on the 20th in Virgo so plan your trip/day early on.

For further details check out www.headtotoeastrology.com and www.kidstarsastrology.com Contact Sylvia to schedule an appt. to clarify exactly how all this affects you individually. 303-448-1477

Sensorielle highly recommends this class and school.

Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient Chinese art dating back to approximately 1200 A.D. Tai chi is practiced for health and self-defense. It is easy to learn, needs no special equipment, can be practiced anywhere in a minimum amount of space, and is suitable for everyone, young and old.

Wu Style Tai Chi consists of 108 movements practiced in a slow, relaxed manner. The mind becomes very calm and blood circulates freely to all parts of the body, making the internal organs strong. The unity of movement, breathing and concentration contributes greatly to physical and mental health.

Tai Chi Chuan relies on internal power. Many of the moves are soft and yielding, turning an opponent's power back against themselves. Contrary to its gentle appearance, Tai Chi at its advanced stages of training, becomes an effective martial art. As in all styles of kung fu, however, proficiency in self-defense requires dedication and consistent practice.
