Stefanie Pitthan-Garcia - Licensed Acupuncturist, Chinese Herbologist, Massage Therapist Stefanie knew she wanted to be a healer and a teacher as a young child. She began her study of meditation when she was fifteen in Palo Alto, CA. Her style of meditation is based on the western mind, and working with energy. She completed over four years of study in meditation and esoteric work in Seattle Washington, and also received her BA in Theatre from the University of Washington with an emphasis on Physical Theatre. In the year 2000 she moved to Telluride Colorado where she attended the Connecting Point School of Massage. It was there that she began gaining experience working with athletes and continuing her practice of esoteric healing. In the fall of 2001 she began her training in Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she also discovered the wonderful practice of yoga. Due to various circumstances, her path through Chinese Medical School wound its way through San Diego, California and then finally here in Boulder, Co. Personally she is moved by the basic tenet of Chinese medicine is the principle of Òdo no harmÓ. On many levels this philosophy has changed her life. She believes that it is a powerful style of medicine that can genuinely transform your health. It has personally helped her maintain a healthy pregnancy. She is passionate about womenÕs health, but also the process of pregnancy and motherhood for women. She is also skilled in working with athletes through massage and interested in furthering these skills with acupuncture. She does prefer a more gentle needling style, while still maintaining powerful results. Her meditation and yoga practice greatly influence her massage and acupuncture and she is consistently working on her awareness of her own body and self. These greatly inspire her to help others seek a balanced and happy life in these chaotic times on our planet.
