What should I wear to Sensorielle? Wear what is comfortable. We will provide a robe, slippers and towel upon request. If you are receiving an Ayurvedic treatment, we suggest wearing clothing you do not mind getting oily, and bring a cover for your head if you are receiving Shirodhara or Abhayanga.
When should I arrive? Arrive 10 - 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to check-in and enjoy a cup of herbal tea or water and relax in our green oasis.
Do you have amenities? We do not have a locker room, sauna or steam room. However we do have a steamy wonder which is a canopy that goes over the table and fills with steam for an additional charge. We also have a bathroom with a shower which is located inside one of our treatment rooms. If you would like to use the shower, please request this in advance to ensure we place you in the proper room for your treatment.
What if I have any special health considerations? Please notify our front desk associate before booking your treatments if you have any special health considerations. We may require you to obtain a doctor's release for treatment depending on your condition.
What do I wear during my treatment? Most body treatments are best enjoyed without clothing, however please feel free to wear what is comfortable for you. Our Thai Massage includes authentic Thai clothing for you to wear during the massage.
How long should I allow my hair to grow before waxing? We recommend you grow your hair to at least 1/4 inch but no more than 1/2 inch. If hair is any shorter, the wax will not grab it and you will be left with some hairs after the treatment.
Should men shave before a facial? Yes, we recommend men shave a few hours before a facial.
What about payment for Sensorielle services? We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Spafinder, SpaWish, Wayspa, Spa Week, Sensorielle Gift Certificates, and cash for services and retail; we prefer cash for gratuities.
What do i need to make an appointment? Please have a credit card or gift certificate number ready when making an appointment to reserve your time with our therapists.
Cancellation Policy - 24 hours Arriving late will unfortunately limit the time for your treatment. We will give you the remaining time in your session, and the full amount will be due. If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please call us by the end of business the day before your appointment. As all treatments are reserved especially for you, same-day cancellations will incur a 50% charge to the card on file. For a missed appointment without a call, or for cancellations within one hour of your start time, 100% of the treatment(s) price will be charged. For same-day appointment changes, a $25 change fee will occur. We hire only the best therapists we can find, and this policy helps to ensure we keep them! Thank you for your business and for honoring the time given by your practitioner.
What type of payments do you accept? We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Spafinder, SpaWish, Wayspa, Spa Week, Sensorielle Gift Certificates, and cash for services and retail; we prefer cash for gratuities.
How do monthly memberships work? You pay a monthly amount (there are four membership options) and we charge your credit card that amount each month on the day you sign up. You will receive 10% off all retail products for the duration of your membership, four 20-minute free siestas (a nap on our luxurious tables with relaxing music, and a gentle zen clock to wake you) per month, a free enzyme treatment with all facials, and 10% off services outside your membership. Where should I park? Parking is free and unlimited in Lafayette's Forest Park Village.
What about tipping?
Clients can leave a gratuity if they would like to. Cash is our preferred method and the standard is 20% or $20 per one hour, depending on the service.
Are you still offering "pay-what-you-can" or sliding scale?
We learned a lot through our 2009 experience trying "pay-what-you-can" for all services and decided it truly devalued our therapists and services. If you are in need, and we absolutely believe everyone deserves caring and healing, please contact us. We may be able to work something out on a case-by-case basis and depending on the therapists on staff. We are currently working on a sliding scale menu that will offer select basic services on a sliding scale basis. Look for this within the coming few months in 2013.
